Electronic Hard Drive Data Recovery and Forensic Raid Data Recovery allows for the systematic and careful identification, collection, preservation, analysis, and presentation of potential computer-related evidence.  Evidence may be sought in a wide array of civil, criminal and abuse cases. Electronic Raid Data Recovery, as in our normal raid recovery process, only retrieves known and existing files that our clients need to recover.  Forensic Raid Data Recovery continues on with a more in depth examination of a computer  raid hard drive array.  Using highly specialized software and hardware, our Forensic Technicians may be able to recovery many deleted and hidden files, decrypt many encrypted files and reassemble the readable portions of many corrupted files.

              Why the need for Forensic Hard Drive Data Recovery?

The electronic storage of data has exploded at such a rapid rate, that just in the last 3 years 80 gigabyte hard drives have become passé for the normal home computer. High capacity File Servers, which were once reserved for Government and large Corporations, are now commonplace is small and medium businesses.  Normal home users are adding Terra byte size external hard drives to there home computers, not just for photos and music, but also to store there correspondence, financial and other critical data. Many business and home users fail to properly configure backup appliances.  Many use back up devices as primary storage devices. When these hard drives fail, and all do, or when the files are accidentally or purposefully deleted, there is but one solution.  The client will require our typical data recovery of the hard drive.  In a few cases, where critical files have been corrupted, the client may require a more Forensic approach to the recovery by having our technicians reconstructed the readable portions of the corrupted files.

Forensic data recovery of hard drive is usually required in criminal and civil litigation.  In addition to the normal viewable data these cases may require the recovery of hidden files, encrypted files, reconstruction of deleted files,  recovery of deleted email and the recovery of Instant messages.  Other data recovery of timelines, created dates, last accessed dates and other time sensitive data.  Forensic data recovery is also used in corporate computers whose data has been corrupted, password protected, deleted or hidden by outside hackers or disgruntled employees. 

A white paper released from IDC revised the research firm's earlier estimates to show that by 2011, the amount of electronic data created and stored will grow to 10 times the 180 exabytes (   193,273,528,320  gigabytes)   that existed in 2006, reflecting a compound annual growth rate of almost 60%.
